Traveling with non-profits

Description
If you are a donor or considering becoming a donor to a non-profit that has work in the developing world, look into the option of traveling to visit their projects. Many non-profits either offer organized tours or will consider organizing one if enough donors are interested. This is a fantastic way to 1) see if they are doing what they claim to be doing, 2) get way off the beaten path and connect with the 'real' nationals (not just hotel and restaurant staff), and 3) make an incredible difference in the lives of the poor. My husband and I have had unique opportunities to travel this way with our two boys since they were young and we highly recommend it as a very meaningful travel adventure!
