International Garden Festival – Jardins de Métis / Reford Gardens
Planning a trip to the Maritimes or the Gaspé? If so, a visit to the Jardins de Métis / Reford Gardens – located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, mid-way between Rimouski and Matane is a must, especially if the International Garden Festival is on.

One of the more creative and interesting exhibits I have seen, the festival has been running every summer since 2000, and has exhibits that will appeal to all ages, and even non-gardeners. This year there was a giant swing, an interactive garden, a garden of sunflowers (and birds), an extraordinary potato exhibit, and many more – I really could not choose a favourite. Not only is it worth a visit it is worth a detour.
