Location is everything and the Holiday Inn Kensington at 100 Cromwell Road is directly opposite the Gloucester Road tube station which has access to THREE tube lines. A short walk from the Natural History Museum, the V&A and the Science Museum.
At the moment (March 2009) the rate is 99 GBpounds for a double room. Eat breakfast in one of the local cafes or bistros, rather than pay 15 pounds each in the hotel.
From Gatwick, take the train into town and then a 10 GBP cab ride to the hotel. Don't go on the tube with heavy cases as the Gloucester Road tube station does not have an elevator!
