Tablao Flamenco Cordobes

Description
Located on the famous promenade. The second floor venue has a moroccan style dining room where you can have dinner first but we chose to go just for drinks and the show. Guests move from the dining room into a cavern-like room with close-set chairs and the dancers are 20 feet away on a small stage. It replicates the experience of the gypsy dancers who hold events in the cave town nearby. Wonderful guitar and folk singing either leads or follows the dancers, as flamenco is not overly choreographed but free form. There are about five female dancers, who mostly dance alone, each has a unique presentation style and personality, reflected in choice of dress. There is usually a male dancer who does a paired dance and dances alone with passion, gusto and extremely fast tapping. I recommend having your concierge book your seating, especially if you are staying at a good hotel. We were given our tickets by our concierge but the desk manager called us out of the sidewalk que and led us to our table, among the first guests. We did get some looks! First drink is included in the price of the show - recommend sangria or sherry.
