Description
Just outside the busy streets of downtown Marigot in St. Martin is a hidden gem called Marina Royale. Accidentally discovered some years ago on one of our many visits to the island, it quickly became a must-do for us on every visit. Why is it a gem? Well for starters, it’s so French and so charming, you feel like you’re in the south of France. Secondly, the quaint shops and great restaurants overlooking the waters and impressive yachts make for a wonderful afternoon outing.
I have not visited the marina during the evening hours – a delicious lunch with a stroll through the quaint shops is ideal. Try lunch and if you’re up to a sunset dinner there as well, then write on this site about that. One thing to keep in mind though is that it is not cheap, but well worth it.
P.S. their lobster pizza has really big chunks of real lobster!
