Northern Adventure at Atlin Lake, B.C.

Description
Atlin Lake is B.C.'s largest lake at 780 square km. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone as Jane and I just visited again- first time in 20 years for me, and we still only saw one other boat during our two day boat trip, which covered about 1/3 of the lake. It is extremely beautiful, being surrounded by mountains including the back side of the range that runs through Juneau Alaska. Atlin is close to the BC-Yukon border so access is via Whitehorse Yukon about a 2 hour drive away.Fishing is great (beautiful Lake Trout) and the hiking is also spectacular. Wildlife is abundant and people very few. Accomodation is limited. But, Jane's sister will fill you in on where to find accomodation including great campsites and maybe even where the good fishing spots are,if you buy her a beer in Whitehorse or at the local hotel in Atlin.
