The Serengeti National Park, is a must see, especially during the Wildebeest migration season, as their migration is one of the wonder’s of the world! The Serengeti, in Tanzania was established in 1941, and mainly consists of grasslands, small hills and at the western part of the park; the park has areas of woodland and savannah. It is the only park in Africa that has different seasonal migrations of animals that take place. This park was also proclaimed a World Heritage Site in 1981, by United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). In the park there are a number of animals that you can find in the park, about 200,000 zebras, thousands of elephants 2 million wildebeests, about 1 million gazelles, giraffes, lions, and monkeys, these are just a few of the animals one can expect to find. The Serengeti National Park is located in the western part of Tanzania, and close to the Kenyan border, thus the migration of Wildebeests, Zebras, among other animals, from Tanzania to the Kenyan Masai Mara Game Reserve during the dry season.
