Wedding in Rome
Description
This is a tip for anyone interested in a stress free location Wedding.
The Purpose:
(other than the obvious to get married.) My beautiful wife and I both wanted to get married at a beautiful location, with little stress and tons of romance. Our first choice was actually in Paris, France but you must be a resident for over 30 days in order to legally get married there. So that was out of the question.
The Plan:
After acting on a tip from my wife's sister who also got married in Rome using the same location and wedding planner 13 years prior to our wedding, we contacted Adriana De Luca from Weddings in Rome. She gave us a shopping list of all things revolving around the wedding. We got to chose our location, flowers, hair and make-up, Photographer, Video-grapher, transportation, and a place to hold a reception.
The result:
(other than the obvious, we got married) We ended up building our dream wedding with no effort at all just a lot of hand holding from our wedding planner Adriana. We chose Palazzo Vignola Mattei as our location, which was very beautiful 15th century church, with room for 30-45 people. After the wedding our driver and photographer cruised Rome stopping to take pictures at some of the most amazing backdrops in the world.
Suggestions:
-Palazzo Vignola Mattei was an amazing location
- We had 15 family members attend). They had rented a house in Trastevere which is picturesque medieval area located on the west bank of the Tiber in central Rome. The place had 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms a kitchen and came fully furnished even down to clean sheets and dishes. They ended up spending around 30 CAN dollars each a night.
- We had our reception / dinner at hotel Forum which I would not suggest. The views where phenomenal but the food was not worth the money.
I could go on and on about the reasons why we loved having our wedding in Rome. But the biggest and most important reason why was because it was a dream of both my wife and I to get married there.
